From the catwalk to the highstreet, the world seems to have gone wild with animal prints!! In particular the timeless leopard print is donning our clothes rails in shops at the moment. Even the likes of F&F and TU clothing have jumped on the trend! Now to you leopard print might seem a tad too Peggy Mitchell, Kat Slater or Bet Lynch….. But really you should think of it as a little more Jackie Collins, Debbie Harry or Elizabeth Taylor. Trust me, adding even the slightest amount of this print to your wardrobe can elevate any outfit!

I walked into River Island the other day, and tried on a pair of leopard print trousers. I didn’t think that much of them when I saw them on the hanger, but to my surprise once I had them on in the changing room, I didn’t want to take them off!! I not only felt sleek and sexy, but bold and confident!!

You don’t have to be overkill with leopard print, but just a touch can transform the way you feel. The general rule with leopard print is to treat it as if it were anything black in your wardrobe. So not too much…. But just enough!
You can try:
1. Wearing a leopard print accessory like a belt, earrings or sunglasses with your outfit.
2. Mixing leopard print with other prints, like stripes and checks.
3. Mixing different colour variations of the print like red or blue leopard print.
4. Making a real statement by wearing leopard print on leopard print.
5. Adding some leopard print shoes or trainers in the mix.
There are so many ways to rock this infamous print. You may not want to go head to toe on the school run in it, but even some jeans, a t shirt and leopard print boots will look good on a wet autumn day!
